Tullimonstrum gregarium stock image

Colloquially known as the "Tully Monster", Tullimonstrum was discovered in Illinois, US, in 1955. Previously believed to be some kind of strange squid or other soft-bodied creature, it is now known that this animal was actually a jawless fish related to lampreys.
